Five Star's Elite consists of only the highest quality Champion Accoyo Alpacas. In addition to the alpacas Justin and Charlene raise a handful of Shropshire Sheep and about 150 head of beef/dairy cattle.

Charlene graduated from Purdue University in 2007 with a degree in Animal Sciences and works full time between three local farms. Not only does her experience involve alpacas but also dairy cattle, beef cattle and Shropshire sheep. Originally she was in pursuit of becoming a veterinarian but this changed when she felt it was more important to focus on preventing illness than trying to treat it. One of her strongest courses was reproduction which explains the attention to detail with neonates and the current breeding program.

In addition to the cattle and grain farming, Justin is a heavy equipment operator/crane operator for a company in Northwestern Indiana.

Then there is our Beagle, Ruger. He loves everyone - the alpacas, sheep, cows, even the cats!

Originally branched off Five Star Alpacas, Charlene has taken into consideration to only select the highest quality alpacas and focus strictly on improving the next generation.

Charlene travels to between 7-12 AOBA certified shows per year and takes pride in showing the results of her breeding decisions.
